Thanks for the great weekend!

We wanted to take a minute to express a heartfelt thanks to all the partners, team members, venues, sponsors, and supporters of the inaugural Maine Science Festival, without whom the MSF would not have been such a rousing success. Our expectations were exceeded by leaps and bounds: our initial counts suggest that we were graced with over 10,000 people who took part in a weekend celebration of science, with large crowds at both the Cross Center and downtown Bangor. People came from Fort Kent to Kennebunk, and even “from away,” to learn about the science and scientists in Maine in a whole new way.

We are especially grateful to those people and organizations who came to the start of the festival and got the message out that this was an event not to be missed – word of mouth grew and grew over the weekend. And to those who covered the MSF in-depth beforehand –The Maine Edge, Don Cookson, Ric Tyler, WABI, and WVII – thank you for the opportunity to explain what the MSF was all about.

If you did join us at the Inaugural MSF, please take a minute to help us make next year’s better by filling out a short evaluation, found at http://goo.gl/xl3pjF.

We are already planning for the Second Annual Maine Science Festival, and we’ll see you next March 18-20, 2016!
