Star Wars Reads Day

Star Wars may be science fiction, but it has inspired several generations to learn more about physics, astronomy, and of course, the possibility of lightsaber

October 11, 2014, is the third annual Star Wars Reads Day in North America, and the first worldwide. One of the Maine Science Festival’s partners, the Bangor Public Library, is having an event to honor this special day of celebrating reading and Star Wars.

On Saturday, from 2-3pm at the Bangor Library, you can make a mini lightsaber or listen to Darth Vader read a story. You can even win Darth Vader’s mask! For more information, call the library at 947-8336.
